Lung rehab

Lung Rehab offers a supportive and friendly group environment to yarn about your health, learn about living well, and move with a rehabilitation program especially tailored for you. The team will work with you to develop your skills to support everyday activities that are important to you.

Lung rehab for Mob is free and tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, 18 years and over, with conditions including: 

  • asthma
  • bronchiectasis
  • chronic cough
  • chronic lung condition
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • emphysema
  • repetitive lung infections
  • shortness of breath

What can we support you with?

At lung rehab, you will receive support and develop skills to be able to:

  • breathe easier
  • feel calm and strong in your mind
  • feel safer and more confident to move and get around
  • get stronger and fitter in your body
  • improve any aches and pains in your body
  • learning about healthy food choices
  • strengthen your heart and improve your blood pressure.

Lung Rehab is delivered by experienced health professionals including: 

  • accredited execise physiologists
  • accredited practicing dietitians
  • allied health assistants
  • nurses
  • occupational therapists
  • pharmacists
  • physiotherapists
  • social health (psychologists and social workers).

Lung rehab for Mob is made up of 16 sessions, with two sessions available each week at:
