BiOC GP Services

Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) offers a dedicated GP service every Wednesday at our Caboolture and Strathpine hubs.

BiOC GP services at MATSICHS

The BiOC GP services at MATSICHS will provide a routine check-up to support your to plan for your pregnancy and afterwards including:

  • baby checks
  • care during pregnancy and afterwards until bub is 3 years old
  • contraception and women’s health
  • emotional health and wellbeing support and management
  • 715 Health Check

The BiOC GP can connect you with other health professionals for further support to:

  • learn about healthy eating for mums and bubs
  • manage lower back and pelvic pain
  • return to physical activity and recovery after you have given birth
  • test your eyes, ears and check your teeth.

Who can access BiOC GP services?

The BiOC GP services are available to BiOC clients until your jarjum is 3 years old.

Our doctors specialise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, children and women’s health, and general practice.

Where to start?

No referral is required. Yarn with your family support practitioner or child health nurse to book an appointment, or call 1800 MY BiOC (1800 692 462) to find out more.
