Birthing in Our Community

The Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) program has been supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mums and bubs since 2013, and has dedicated hubs in Caboolture, Logan, Salisbury, Strathpine and the Bayside suburbs of Brisbane.

The Birthing in Our Community service is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who prefer a culturally safe approach to maternity care. Our families benefit from a dedicated midwifery team and family support practitioner who will journey through the mother’s pregnancy, at the birth and who will walk alongside the family until bub is three years of age.
